Congratulations on taking this cleansing step for your overall health and well-being — way to go!

Your personal commitment will be: Having no added sugars in your diet for 14 days.

It’s normal to question yourself, and perhaps wonder what you’ve gotten yourself into.  But please, don’t worry, this is a supported experience — and I believe in you!

During your 14-day NSC you can expect the following:

  • Every day you’ll receive an email with education, information, and support. Most will contain a recipe, too. These emails will help you to better understand the science behind a no sugar-added diet.
  • Finally, you’ll be provided with my email and can message me personally throughout the 14-day NSC with any questions or concerns.

As you know, sugar is addictive. The more you eat, the more you crave. It’s that simple.
This reboot is about breaking that cycle. Your body and brain will relearn how to metabolize and function without the —  yes I’m going to say it, poison — that your body has become accustomed to.

It’s my hope that this NSC will accomplish a few things for you:

  • Break the addictive cravings for sweets and carbohydrates
  • Hone your label-reading, by recognizing what's in your food, and what's healthy to eat
  • Create more mindfulness in your life, because by eliminating added sugars, you’ll be eating more real foods
  • Learn how easy it can be to eat nutritiously by buying, preparing, and eating good healthy, whole foods

So here’s a quick guide to get started.

You’ll find yourself mostly shopping on the store’s perimeter. Most stores will have all of the choices you’re looking for. You may find a larger selection at Sprouts or Whole Foods, but Fry’s and Safeway have the majority of items, too.

It’s important to be mindful when you're grocery shopping. So, try your best to avoid the grocery store when you’re in a rush or feeling hungry. Your choices matter. Give yourself ample time to read labels, make comparisons, and take mental notes.

Thank you for believing in yourself and making commitment to yourself! I’m certain that your conscientious efforts will have positive effects on your physical and mental health.

You’ve got this!

Remember — slow n’ steady wins the race!
